China Mobile hits 149M app store users
Marbridge Daily reports that as of November 2011, China Mobile now has 149 million registered app store users, although it said that “growth of the platform slowed slightly in November, during which it had a net increase of 10 million registered users.”
According to the paper, the store offers 102,000 products, although this includes other content alongside apps and games. Almost 87 percent of products in the store were priced at RMB3 or less (including free titles), with an average price point of RMB2. However, games, with an average price of RMB6.3, and other apps, with an average price of RBM2.6, came in above this, with other content product prices dragging it lower.
Marbridge said that the store saw 30 million downloads in November, taking the cumulative total to 490 million.
