EE and BT kick off UK LTE trial
Everything Everywhere and BT Wholesale announced what was described as “the first live trial of next generation 4G LTE broadband in the UK,” involving around 200 customers in rural Cornwall – where broadband services are otherwise unavailable. The companies are exploring the use of an 800MHz LTE network for the provision of both fixed and mobile services, and the tests are expected to run until early next year.
