Microsoft said that its Windows Phone marketplace is now available in five more markets – Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru and the Philippines.

The company had previously been accepting app submissions for the new markets, but with consumers unable to buy products. The store is now open in 41 territories.

Microsoft reiterated that for Indonesia, Malaysia and China (which is not yet open to consumers), apps will be subject to additional certification requirements, “due to local laws, regulations and norms.”

It previously said that content which may potentially be deemed offensive includes: “people in revealing clothing or in sexually suggestive poses; religious references; alcohol references; sexual or bathroom humor; [and] simulated or actual gambling.”
