RSS Feeds

What is RSS?

It stands for Really Simple Syndication, and is an easy way of receiving new content from your favourite sections of Mobile Business Briefing. RSS feeds contain headlines, a summary and a link to the article on the website. Subscribing to an RSS feed keeps you up to date with the latest news, without having to constantly revisit the site to check for updates.

How do I use RSS?

You need a news reader (also called an ‘aggregator’), which will check for and inform you of new content in the RSS feed. Browser-based news readers let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer, whereas downloadable applications let you store them on your main computer, in the same way that you either download your e-mail using Outlook, or keep it on a web-based service like Hotmail.

Once you have chosen a news reader, please choose the available feeds on the right. If you click on the RSS button you can subscribe to the feed in various ways, including by dragging the URL of the RSS feed into your news reader or by cutting and pasting the same URL into a new feed in your news reader.

Modern web browsers, including Firefox, Opera and Safari, automatically check for feeds for you when you visit our website. An RSS icon is displayed in the URL bar which you can then click on to get the feed.
